Gold Rush Days is an immersive living history experience that transports students back to 19th-century California.
Your students will step into the shoes of 1850s prospectors, each taking on a historical role as they travel the Overland Trail to California, stake their claim, and try their luck at striking it rich!
This engaging experience offers a hands-on journey through the California Gold Rush era, teaching students about the lives of Native Americans, immigrants, and fortune-seekers from across the nation. Some may hit the jackpot, while most will face the harsh realities of the gold rush and discover that California’s streets weren’t exactly paved with gold. It’s a fun, educational adventure that brings history to life!

Our day program begins with check-in from 9:00-9:45 a.m. The students' orientation begins at 10:00 a.m. The final event will conclude at 7:00 pm with an expected departure time of 7:30 p.m. Food service is provided for lunch and dinner.

Our overnight check-in is from 3:00-3:45 p.m. The students' orientation begins at 4:00 p.m. The overnight program ends at 1:30 p.m. on the following day. Your students will stay the night in one of our signature Boom Town Miner Shacks or a Covered Wagon. Full food service is provided from dinner on the first day to lunch on the second day (a total of 3 meals).
