AWARE Curriculum

Discovering God's Truth through Nature

 

The AWARE Curriculum was developed by Indian Hills specifically for Sixth Grade Camp.  This curriculum allows students to spark new interests, build self-esteem and become more AWARE of the key role each has in society, the natural environment, and a relationship with Jesus Christ. 

 

Our goal is to guide students to become AWARE of...

1. Seeing the Creator

We will explore how all aspects of nature have a purpose, namely to show the incredible power of the Creator

2. Utilizing Common Sense

Common sense, imagination and acquired knowledge are imperative n problem solving in the great outdoors.  Our desire is to show students how God has given us all these for our protection and for applying to our own Christian lives.

3. Developing New Interests

Camp is the perfect setting for one to view God's creation and to discover his handiwork.  Students are challenged by new experiences and encouraged to take part in activities they have never done.
