Team Program Description:
Qualifications:
All Team Program Members must be born-again Christian young men and women between the 9th and 11th grades who have a desire to serve Jesus Christ and to be a part of a team to help children find Jesus Christ as Savior. Team Program Members must be actively involved in their home church, including attendance in two services a week, and volunteering routinely in a ministry. It is important to have the desire and ability to work with junior age boys and girls. The ability to conduct oneself in an orderly and Christ-like manner to peers and children is an absolute. Any skills that would aid one in a camp-like environment or in a general outdoor setting are helpful. Team Program Members must be in good health and strength to handle 12-14 hour days for 7 weeks, which include work projects, recreational activities and serving in ministry with children.
Principle Function:
Team Program Members are to help in the general aspect of maintaining the facilities, grounds, and program activities at Indian Hills Camp. They are the extra hands and feet that are necessary in the day-to-day operations of the Christian Camping Ministry. Team Program Members will be involved in projects, such as painting, housekeeping, fencing, tree planting, minor construction and various other landscaping projects. They will also join in the camp program by assisting in various areas as indicated by their supervisors.
Benefits:
Board and lodging included. Weekends from Friday afternoons at 3:00 pm until Sunday afternoons at 2:45, are off times. Team Program members must leave the campground during the weekends. A weekly store card is provided. Opportunities for organized staff activities will be available throughout the course of the summer.
How to apply for the Summer 2012 IHC Team Program:
1. Review the information listed on the webpage with your parents (all of the information is super important!).
2. Fill out the online application (find its link at the bottom of this webpage)! That's right...we are going paperless!
3. After successfully submitting your application you will receive an email to the provided parent's email address.
4. Forward the Recommendation Form link found in email you received in Step 4 to your pastor, youth pastor or youth leader.
5. Once we receive both, we will contact you with further information.
New Applicant Interviews:
An interview will be scheduled once we have received the New Team Program Applicant's Application and Recommendation Form. We will contact you and your child with a specified time. Interviews are thirty minutes and are held at Indian Hills Camp.
Team Program Member/Parent Orientation BBQ:
All Team Program members are required to attend an Orientation BBQ with at least one parent on Sunday, May 20th, 2012 at Indian Hills Camp at 1pm. The information covered on this afternoon is invaluable.
Team Program Fee: $750.00
This fee covers Training Week, four weeks of Summer Camp, and Summit, for a total of six weeks. Fees are not prorated if your student is unable to participate in any of the dates listed above. All Team Program fees must be paid in full on or before June 1, 2012. Fees may be:
Payment Option 1: Paid in full upon turning in Financial Agreement, after acceptance into Team Program.
Payment Option 2: Made in payments (by providing debit/credit card account) according to the following payment schedule:
Deposit: $75.00, to be paid upon turning in Financial Agreement, after acceptance into Team Program.
Payment 1: $225.00, due April 1, 2012
Payment 2: $225.00, due May 1, 2012
Payment 3: $225.00, due June 1, 2012
Payment Option 3: Team Program members have the option of raising donor financial support. IHC will provide fundraising materials, including letters, envelopes and postage. A deposit of $75.00 is due upon turning in Financial Agreement, after acceptance into Team Program. All fees must be paid by June 1, 2012. Any monies not received by that date will be charged to provided debit/credit card account. Support raising is not allowed if Team Program fee has already been paid in full. Funds received are non-refundable.
