Who will be supervising my children?
Your children will be supervised by, college age counselors who are under the guidance of professional, full-time camp staff. Before summer camp even begins, our staff have recieved 40-60 hours of intensive training. We train our team in everything from basic first-aid and child safety procedures to camp counseling standards that include everything from dealing with a homesick camper to the art of relationship building. Each staff member goes through an extensive interview and background process that ensures IHC has top quality counselors and support staff that are ready to serve. Your child will be under 24 hour supervision and their well-being is our greatest concern. Campers will stay in cabins, tepees, or covered wagons with their counselor. Sleeping arrangements are made by the camp.
